Transducer Tool
Used for LG 0-5 vdc pressure transducers.
Uses 3 vdc to verify PCB pressure transducer readings.
On multi- chassis systems, enables a
constant pressure reading to be inputted on a leaking ODU after it has been isolated from the system, allowing the remaining chassis to operate.
EEV Block-off Tools
Temporarily replace LG EEV power assembly in an IDU or HR box to prevent refrigerant flood-back and allow the system to operate.
Includes one each, 5/16" and 1/2" EEV Block-Off Tool.
EEV Stem Repair Tool
Used to replace the steel dimple on the top of the EEV plunger (stem) in the event it breaks.
(For temporary repair only, the EEV will need to be replaced)
LEV Manual Drive Tool
Use this tool to manually drive LEVs clockwise or counter clockwise. Typically, 15-20 turns of rotation is required to drive the valve full open or closed.
The diameter of the EEV domes in the 3A boxes were increased early 2021.
Includes one ea. 3A and 3A.1 tools. The 3A tool fits the older size 3A LEVs as well as the ODU sub-cooling EEV. The 3A.1 fits the new size. Both tools are included.
About Us
At VRF Specialty Tools we have over 60 years combined experience in the service side of the HVACR Industry. The last 10 years have been devoted primarily to the service and repair of VRF equipment.
While the technology of the equipment itself is growing at a rapid pace, the tools required to efficiently troubleshoot and service the equipment has not kept pace.
VRF Specialty Tools began as a few small projects for our personal use in the field. Soon other technicians began asking us to make these same tools for them and so here we are today.
Currently our tools only support the LG product line. We are in the process of developing tools to support other VRF manufacturers equipment
In addition to developing new VRF specific tools, we also will be adding troubleshooting tips, videos and other information as time allows. Remember, we still have day jobs.
